ECONOMIES AND SOCIETIES

Themes of the Collection

The Collection sets the main objective of capturing monographs and current, original works that provide an advance in the knowledge of the defined scientific fields. In this sense, special attention will be paid to the publication of monographs and the results of international Seminars and Congresses, held within or outside the university environment itself. Likewise, another of the purposes is the publication of Doctoral Theses, provided that they have obtained the maximum qualification and pass the double evaluation by peers.

On the other hand, and bearing in mind the specific weight that the most recent economic crises are acquiring in the future of today's society, preferential attention is contemplated to studies focused on these aspects, especially in the countries that lag in the development index.

Disciplinary areas

The Collection serves, as its title indicates, the publication of studies related to the field of Economics in its various manifestations: Theory and Economic Analysis, Applied Economics, Political Economy, Business, Marketing, Strategic Management, Economic History, Work and Growth Economic, Sectors, Innovation, Infrastructures, Reduction of inequalities, Responsible Production, and Consumption. Another important part of the series refers to the study of Societies from the perspective of Sociology, Demography, Geography, Social History, approaches to Public Policies, and Sustainable Development. The collection also encourages the production of inter and transdisciplinary perspectives.
