Synopsis
This book is the product of a series of discussions that have been taking place at the Interdisciplinary Center for Body, Education and Society (CICES, FaHCE, IdIHCS) and which give an account of the current state of the research and studies that they have sustained since their constitution in the year 2013.
The work is organized into four parts. Dance, gymnastics, and education recover discussions around dance and gymnastics as bodily practices and include debates on the question of the relationships between their teaching and education. Free Time, collects theoretical discussions and reflections about concrete work experiences on the relationships between free time, leisure, play, and bodily practices. Knowledge and curriculum bring together works that bring into play the epistemological and institutional dimensions with which the curriculum is linked as a reality of discourse and as an object of analysis. Finally, Current Affairs of the Body closes with two reflections in which the attacks of the pandemic on the body are staged.
