Synopsis

This work presents a set of artistic productions that children and adolescents have made during the ASPO, referring to COVID-19 and the care measures for its prevention. It is part of the project “Living conditions of homes and care in the face of preventive and mandatory social isolation due to COVID-19 in La Plata, Berisso and Ensenada. Status of child welfare and proposals”. This research, among other objectives, proposed: to know the compliance and mode of appropriation of the ASPO in homes, as well as the reasons and meanings built around it; to know how the ASPO affected daily household activities, intra-family relationships, the experience of physical space and the moods of the child and adolescent population; to know the psychosocial and socio-emotional problems that children and adolescents manifest during the ASPO and the ways of dealing with them by adults. This study sought to promote the participation of children and adolescents from a rights-based perspective, through various forms of artistic expression such as drawings, stories and videos. The findings of our study show that they have been aware of what was happening, that they have been affected in various ways and that they have incorporated the recommended health measures to prevent the disease.
